I've seen several reports online stating that Police Officers from Hammersmith Police are phoning innocent members of the public around banking protocols trying to obtain banking sort codes and bank account numbers, It doesn't matter how plausible they sound, this is a SCAM, hang up the phone and report this to your local Police station, phone 101 or report online to www.met.police.uk or Action Fraud.
Police will never ever phone yourselves and ask for your personal banking details
